Meet our first Network Coordinator

A recent update  shared our excitement about the kickoff of the first Mission Training Equipping Lab called Cultivate. There’s another reason we’re excited about it, too. This Mission Training Cohort signifies the beginning of a new Mission Alive network! Mission Alive’s vision is to equip leaders to plant and renew hundreds of churches all over North America, thereby catalyzing a movement of mission and discipleship. By God’s grace we’re seeing this begin to happen — from San Antonio, Texas, to Regina, Saskatchewan, and from Newberg, Oregon to Williamsburg, Virginia! We are pursuing this vision through the creation of regional networks – where leaders and churches in a particular geographical area connect and work together for planting and renewal. As a result, we’re thrilled to commission Fred Liggin as the Network Coordinator for Mission Alive’s new Mid-Atlantic Network! Fred is the Lead Minister of the Williamsburg Christian Church (WCC) in Williamsburg, Virginia. We are thankful to WCC for hosting the first Mission Training Cohort at their building, and for serving as a hub for the Mid-Atlantic Network. Fred and WCC are also participants in the Mission Training process as they continue to pursue and achieve renewal within their congregation. Fred Liggin familyFred’s role is to work with leaders and churches in the Mid-Atlantic region to catalyze missional renewal and church planting. He will help to facilitate Mission Training for future Cohorts in his region and connect churches who could partner in sending out church planting teams in the area. This is what Fred says about his new role: “I am excited to serve in this capacity for Mission Alive because I believe we need kingdom-shaped communities springing up out of networks and neighborhoods who are joined with God in making His kingdom tangible to all people. We need to equip men and women as disciples who make disciples, and who are joined with God in His mission as every-day people living in every-day places walking with Him in every-day ways. Helping to coordinate and support this kind of beautiful movement along the Mid-Atlantic is one small way I hope to help.” We are thankful that Fred is joining our team and ask you to pray with us that God’s will be done in the Mid-Atlantic area as it is in heaven! Email Fred at fred@missionalive.org to learn more about this new network.
